Our children, seniors, people with limited mobility, Cabrillo College and UCSC students, and many in our workforce travel by bus, bike, walk or roll to their destinations and we need to make sure they are able to do so safely.
After hosting our first Annual Week Without Driving in 2025, we formed this nonprofit to support both Week Without Driving activities and other pedestrian safety advocacy as the only local nonprofit organization specifically focused on helping our nondriving residents reach our destinations safely when we are not riding in a car.
For pedestrians, bicyclists, public and paratransit riders, who should be as safe as motorists when they travel, we see transit safety education, advocacy, and policy as the path to safer passage for everyone in Santa Cruz County.
